Education is crucial for the development of the modern science and technology, the network education is an important part of current education. The use of video resources is one of the most important link in the multimedia network education, as a result, video on demand system becomes the modern network education, especially in the construction of campus network is an important research subject.In order to meet the needs of campus network, the project was designed and implemented the video on demand system based on JSP language to write. System makes full use of the advantage of modern campus network and multimedia technology, and in order to reduce the burden of administrator, using automated methods to manage the multimedia resources.In this article, to establish an online video on demand system based on JSP language. First on the system requires the backbone technology of grace to the introduction, including the JSP based on Java script language, the LAMP architecture system,The MYSQL database system, Nginx Web Server software and Helix Server, streaming media service system. Detailed system requirements analysis, modeling, the function of the system need to meet the data model and the function block diagram of the system is given, from which several aspects of demand and the function of the system function characteristic have carried on the detailed instructions. The focus of this article and the core content is the design and implementation of video on demand system, first of all to video on demand system overall design, including design principle, design idea, video on demand system structure and function of the design system structure design and system software and hardware configuration, composition. Then on demand system for database, relational schema design in detail, and the realization of each function module mainly records the system, so as to complete the whole system design and implementation. Finally, the system was tested, the conclusion is: the system meet the requirements of the requirements analysis and design.
