With the development of Internet technology, Internet based applications have sprung up. In network video conference, the video quality has changed to full HD size from standard size, even to 4k size. It became very popular Because of its low cost, easy maintenance, fast adaptation to demand, better user experience, and so on. The video quality of the video conference will be increased, so the data transmission technology becomes very important.In order to improve the quality of software video conference, I designed a transmission protocol based on UDP protocol, which is based on the application layer and transport layer, which can be used in the high bandwidth and high latency network environment, as well as the high packet loss rate. According to the characteristics of this protocol, it is named PRP (Reliable Protocol Partial). It used to improve the service quality by making use of the mechanism of congestion, sliding window, re-transmission, and so on.The main works of the thesis are:Most video conference system are large time delay, audio and video are not synchronization, the server forwarding efficient is low. Through a careful analysis of the current popular transmission protocol, I got the characteristics of each channel in the current video conference system, then I designed the PRP. Through the congestion control, flow control, re-transmission mechanisms are optimized. For the security needs of some users, the protocol add the standard encryption algorithms to encrypt the data, to ensure data security. I use efficient design mode to complete the needs of large data forwarding server, design and implementation of the transmission protocol is suitable for video conference transmission characteristics.In this thesis, the design and implementation of network transport protocols have been used in our video conferencing products. The entire product is running in China Telecom, Nanyang Technological University, Singapore court online and other enterprises and educational institutions, and so on. This protocol combines the characteristics of each channel in the video conference, and provides a detailed design of the protocol, which provides a better effect in the complex network environment. Since the system has been running a high efficiency, high performance, stable and reliable performance, to provide users with better interactive products, and obtain the user’s consistent high praise, to achieve the desired design goals.
