Internet has already become an indispensable part of the current information society, but problems of TCP/IP architecture in expandability and security controllability are increasingly prominent, making it impossible to satisfy the demand of proprietary network in a specific environment. Therefore, a new Internet architecture shall be designed. The current network has various problems in the service description and analysis, for instance, insufficient description of resources, host-oriented, etc. In order to solve these problems, a credible, expandable and resource-oriented service identifier parsing and mapping mechanism should be designed and implemented. Based on the further researches on the current Internet service parsing mechanism, a new Internet service identifier parsing and mapping system is designed and implemented.Firstly, existing network services and related resource parsing and mapping technologies are studied, the disadvantages are analyzed and necessity of the research is illustrated. Secondly, the new Internet architecture, service identifier, service identifier parsing and mapping mechanism are introduced, and through comparison and analysis, Chord algorithm is confirmed as the basis of the design of parsing and mapping mechanism. On this basis, a new Internet service identifier parsing and mapping system is designed and implemented, and it mainly realizes the unified description and analysis of services and resources. By aiming at the functional demands of the mapping system, the system is divided into two functional modules, including the data and maintenance. Among which, the former is responsible for analyzing the registration or inquiry launched by the access system, making use of the Chord algorithm to look for the corresponding server, and carrying out write/read operations in the server database. The latter is mainly responsible for the periodical maintenance of service identifier parsing and mapping service, so as to guarantee the normal operation of server. The working mechanisms of the two functional modules are designed, and the functional flows of the system are clarified on this basis. Afterwards, related data package and functions of Linux operating system are designed and implemented in details. Through establishing the prototype system, multi-aspect function tests are carried out for the service identifier parsing and mapping system, which verifies the validity of the system. Finally, the work of this research is summarized, and next step of work is expected.
