Rehetai oilfield with complex structures, has not been done research about structure and reservoir system because of blindly pursuing production targets over the years. The study was not limited to Re 5 block, but in the entire Rehetai fields. Geology, development dynamics, seismic, well logging, reservoir engineering, numerical simulation tools are combined to fine description of reservoir in order to achieve a unified multi-disciplinary research. The layers and lithology of Re 5 block were divided by comparison with the standard wells; first of all horizons were tied by multi-directional, multi-angle detailed interpretation of 2D seismic data. Faults location were identified, and structural section maps and graphs were drawn. Furthermore, characteristics of hydrocarbon traps can be analyzed, and the type and features of micro-structural can be recognized. Sedimentary facies were got through drill core, cuttings observation and analysis of type curve of Re 5 block. After that, the area of hydrocarbon can be located by Sedimentary facies combined with analysis of seismic data. Finally, The OOIP of Rehetai oilfield is 1017.9924 × 104t and OGIP of Rehetai oilfield is 13.36×108 by preliminary calculation of reserves. While the OOIP of Re 5 block is 632 × 104t, including 23.21 × 104t of reserves the layer S3 group I and 330 × 104t of reserves the layer S3 group II.The reserves were evaluated combined with the results of a combination of factors, then we got that the reduction of oil reserves may be associated with structural configuration, fault system change, reducing trachyte bearing area and the division errors of effective thickness and other reasons.
