This paper is based on the Doctoral Scie ntific Fund Project of the Ministry of Education of China(No.20125522110004)and the key research project supported by Natural Science Foundation of CSTC(N o.cstc2013jjB3002),with the engineering background of wind fa rm construction proj ect in coastal and tidal zone in Rudong County,Jiangsu Province,both the num erical simulation and theoretical analysis have been used to conduct researches on sim ulation methods of wind fi eld and wave field,as well as the structural performance simulation of offshore wind turbine subjected to wind and wave loads.(1)An offshore wind turbine model has been built using the 3D modeling software SolidWorks.After analyzing the structure of an offshore wind turbine,the m odels of the main parts of turbine have been built and have been assembled.(2)The characteristics of the common methods of numerical wave generation have been studied.Based on the second order Stokes wave theory and the m ethod of numerical wave generation and developed in User-defined Function,the simulation of wave field for offshore wind turbine has been done successfully in FLUENT.The comparison between wave field sim ulation and analytic solution of wave theory has verified the feasibility of the method used to simulate the wave field.(3)The characteristics of at mospheric boundary layer,average wind speed profile and turbulent boundary conditions of the o ffshore wind field have been analyzed.Using the results an offshore wind field has been sim ulated in FLUENT.In the simulation,the average wind speed profile has showed an exponential distribution,which means the simulation has been done succ essfully and verifies the feasibility of simulation.(4)The methods of Fluid-Structure Interaction have been analyzed system atically.According to the analysis the calculation process of the offshore wind turbine FSI h as been built and conducted.Subsequently the details of flow fields and the surface pressure of wind turbine have been analy zed.The stresses and strains of the whole structure subjected to external loads have been studied simultaneously.
