Pingchang county is located in the northeast of Sichuan,with high and steep mountains,the coverings in the fourth quarter is loose and rainfall is abundant. Though the influence of Wenchuan and Ya'an earthquake on May 12,2008 and on April 20,2013 respectively,the geological environment in the area becomes more vulnerable,along with the rapid development of economy and frequent human engineering activities,making this place suffer from constant geological disasters,which not only poses threat to people's life and property safety but also restricts it's sustainable economic development. As a result,carrying out the risk assessment of geological disaster over this county is great significance to a more reasonable ma nagement of government.This thesis is based on the predecessors' research and GIS technology as well as field investigation and laboratory study of Pingchang county making a deep study on the spatial distribution pattern of landslide geological disaster a nd the cause analyses. Selected the point density, size, grade, relative elevation difference, lithology, water system, rainfall and human engineering activities, as danger assessment factors; population, cultivated land,property as vulnerability assessment factor. The analytic hierarchy process(ahp) determine the index weight and the model of fuzzy comprehensive evaluation method "pingchang county geological disaster risk assessment is established. Based on the results of danger and vulnerability assessment, the risk assessment results are obtained.Based on the geological disaster risk assessment, A general plan and management plan for reducing the loss of geological disaster or preventing the occurrence of disaster from the area is put forward. From a s ingle point of view, the specific prevention and control measures are proposed. Research results can be applied to pingchang county geological disaster prevention planning and management practice, Guiding significance for other types of regional disaster prevention and control planning.
