In recent years, with the improvement of seismic exploration technology and the economic development of energy demand, China's Sichuan Basin, Ordos Basin, Tarim basin area gradually become the focus of marine carbonate rocks area reconnaissance, has in the Yuanba, tower and Puguang area made discovery of oil and gas reservoirs. Due to the effect of depositional environments of carbonate rocks, the oil and gas reservoir trap condition, reservoir properties are relatively good, usually for the high yield of oil and gas field formation. Therefore, geologists and geophysicists has been the were continued exploration and research. The exploration of carbonate reservoir is based on the definition and classification of carbonate rocks, and has gradually developed to the study of the reservoir type, seismic response characteristics and the identification and prediction of the reservoir. Due to the limitation of the exploration technology and the irregular and complex distribution of the concealed carbonate reservoir, we can not effectively identify and predict the reservoir. For the exploration and interpretation of data difficult, in this paper, the application of forward numerical simulation modeling of reef carbonate reservoir, through the analysis of the forward record and post stack migration records, the seismic response characteristics of reservoir have been studied, hope for future oil and gas exploration to provide evidence. In this paper, the definition of reef beach, classification and morphological characteristics do the simple introduction, and more comprehensive analysis the reef beach reservoir seismic response characteristics for the forward numerical simulation and seismic data processing and interpretation has laid a theoretical basis. Also on the numerical simulation of the finite difference method are studied, analysis the difference scheme, boundary conditions and elimination method of boundary conditions, through the wave equation numerical simulation method, set up a variety of reef flat reservoir layer velocity depth model and on the effects of the seismic wave field should characteristics and reservoir identification rules are analyzed and studied, and hope for the future reef carbonate reservoir exploration and seismic data interpretation is of guiding significance. This thesis mainly focuses on the following work: first, to collect, collate currently known reef data, a brief introduction of the definition, classification and morphological characteristics, and the seismic response characteristics of research, exploration of organic reef and shoal of pattern recognition. Second, to wave equation finite difference method are analyzed and studied, discusses the differential scheme, boundary conditions and boundary conditions eliminate method, by means of finite difference method based on two-dimensional closed geological model, of reef carbonate reservoir of forward numerical simulation, and analysis under different frequency wavelet seismic wave field imaging. Third, based on the first two steps, combined with the actual seismic data, establish the reef model for the typical trial run effect is good. Finally, the collection of China's Sichuan Basin in Yuanba area of seismic and geological data and research work in the field results, the area of velocity depth model is established, and were used under different frequencies of the Ricker wave as the seismic wave field imaging. In addition, the timing of the two order of the forward and the time of the stack migration record program, the results of the operation of the software and the results are compared and analyzed, good agreement. It is hoped that these studies will guide the development of reef flat carbonate oil and gas exploration in the area.
