China is prone to geological disasters and in which landslide disasters often result in huge losses. The monitoring of surface landslide can provide an important basis for the genesis and development trend extrapolation of landslide. Terrestrial laser scanning technique with the advantage of high accuracy, continuity and non-contact can obtain a wide range of point cloud data quickly and securely. Terrestrial LiDAR converts measure method form a single point to the surface, with the characteristic of long-distance,non-contact and fast acquisition, which can adapt to various work environments. The monitoring of landslide surface by terrestrial LiDAR has security and comprehensive advantages. The DEM producted by point cloud data which obtains from terrestrial LiDAR can represent surface morphology visually and landslide deformation analysis based on it can provide comperhensive strain deformation information to analysis landslide deformation.Through the registration, high-resolution terrain LiDAR data can construct triangles surface model for deformation monitoring of landslide surface. Using stable data as a reference to compare multitemporal data obtained the overall deformation area results and reflected the overall deformation trend accurately. In order to obtain more precise deformation information, the mothod of Fitting centroid in local deformation monitoring point cloud zone to extract the coordinate of feature points can get the result of lacol deformation in landslide surface. Monitoring of terrestrial LiDAR thesis applied to the surface of the landslide were discussed. The main contents are as follows:(1) the establishment of a landslide surface model. Establish a performance-based differences in elevation DEM and the true three-dimensional surface model to reflect Reflecting surface conditions that can fully grasp the unstable region of surface information.(2)This article discusses the general method of point cloud data registration. Then discusses the complex situations that may appear difficult to register point cloud data solution.(3) Analysis Deformation based on Landslide surface Model. Using the surface models constructed by complete point cloud in different periods to get Landslide deformation information.This paper argues that registration error affected monitoring accuracy which makes terrain LiDAR lmit, but its rapid data acquisition and less human interference characteristics can improve the efficiency and precision of monitoring. Terrain LiDAR technology will be widely used in geological disaster monitoring investigation and warning.
