Geological spatial data is the data that is directly related to the geographical position and spatial distribution, and it is the research focus of Geology and its related disciplines. The acquisition and integration of geological spatial data is the foundation of the construction of the geological industry. In the era of big data, the geological industry will also face the problem of massive data storage. Geological spatial data sources are extensive, various types and huge amount, and their attribute information is more complex and professional. Large scale database technology must be used to realize the unified organization and application of geological spatial data. The main research contents of this paper include:(1) Study on the related content of national mineral resources potential evaluation data, analysis of user needs, and to develop a reasonable plan. The logical model, physical model, catalog tree and so on are designed to realize the unified management of all data;(2) The integration of national mineral resources potential evaluation data in accordance with the two routes, they are Province-mineral species-special and province level project. By creating a spatial table to connect all the data, this model is conducive to reducing redundancy, enhance the consistency of the data.(3) Combined with MapGIS K9 and Oracle 10G database related spatial data technology, completed the national mineral resource potential evaluation data storage management and to achieve a number of basic GIS operating functions, to provide basic data for the construction of geological data cloud platform. This paper provides a method for the storage management of massive geological data, and provide the basis for decision analysis for the application of mineral resources potential evaluation and so on.
