The Qiubodong silver deposit is located in the middle of Taihang mountain, southwest of Mapeng rock mass, and is a porphyry-cryptoexplosive breccia type silver deposit in the Sigou section. As the deposit type is complex, mineralization continuity is poor, the ore body along the trend, the tendency of the thickness, grade change is larger, leading to deep ore prospecting effect is not obvious. Therefore, the study of audio-frequency magnetotelluric sounding method in the area to identify the deep geo-electric structure features of the Sigou rock mass, to determine the characteristics of the production and mineralization of deep rock(ore) body, and expand the deep ore prospecting Prospect and layout of deep drilling project is of great significance.Based on the audio-magnetotelluric method, the authors collected and summarized geology, geophysical and geochemical exploration, borehole, magnetotelluric and work results of the predecessors, guided by the theoretical knowledge of tectonics, ore deposit, petrology and magnetotellurics.The authors studied the geo-electric structure and the significance of ore prospecting of the Sigou rock mass by referring to the tectonic characteristics, tectonic evolution, metallogenic mechanism and metallogenetic prospect, with reference to the advanced data processing techniques and methods at home and abroad. The main findings are as follows:(1) The Sigou(quartz porphyry) rock mass is a low resistivity body with resistivity less than 1000? · m, and its resistivity is obviously different from country rock with high resistivity.(2) The Sigou rock mass has a "Y"-shaped distribution in space, in which the upper part is dyke vein and the lower part is concealed. The rock mass is connected with quartzite porphyry of SE direction. The depth of the current detection are distributed, there may be continued to decline.(3) According to the comparative study of the borehole exposing results, the prospecting direction of the Sigou rock body is determined: 1) In the high and low resistance gradient zone(inner zone), it is favorable for the formation of alteration and fragmentation Banding polymetallic sulphide deposits; 2)The low resistance zone contraction and branch, the general elevation 400 ~ 750 m, inversion resistivity of 200 ~ 500? · m in the lumpy, dendritic areas; 3) The resistivity less than 100? · m banded, eye-shaped low resistance of the rock mass, mostly due to the rock-breaking water-rich and intensive fracture development, which is little significance to the ore prospecting.
