Zuodayangqi River gold deposit's tectonic location is in the accretionary zones between the Northen Kinggan plot and Erguna plot in the eastern central Asia orogenic belt. It is geographically located in the southern foothill of Yilehuli Monutain in Northeast China.Exposed rocks in the ore district include Upper Proterozoic- Lower Cambrian Series Wolegen group Jixianggou Formation(Pt3-?1j) neritic facies terrigenous clastic rocks and carbonate sedimentary strata, Dawangzi Formation( Pt3-?1d) shallow metamorphic sedimentary rocks and metamorphic Marine acidic volcanic rocks, and Cenozoic erathem Quaternary strata. Granite is the largest intrusion, occupying about fourty persent in area of the ore district, where it is developed in the middle district. Ore district is located in the east north wing of the Youwuluka river anticlinorium structure and was deformed strongly by thrust-nappe structures. Mylonite formed in the contact zone between Upper Proterozoic- Lower Cambrian Series Wolegen group Jixianggou Formation. The Zuodayangqi river fault, as the main structure with north west 330 °-340° trend, is the main ore-controlling structure and was probably the product of tenacity nappe tectonic. Affected by volcanic- magmatic hydrothermal activities, the hydrothermal alteration types are mainly silicification, skarnization, sericitization, kaolinitization, chloritization and epidotization. Silicification, sericitization and pyritization alteration are relating to gold mineralization greatly. So far six gold orebodies were found, most of them formed in nearly NS-trending mylonite zone. Native gold-sulfide type ore is the main ore type. Metal mineral assemblage are mainly gold and pyrite, with crumb and dense disseminated in veins. The gangue minerals are mainly quartz with vein form. Gold-bearing geological body is felsic mylonite, and ore bodies are strictly controlled by mylonite zone. We consider that the genetic type of the gold deposit is related to altered mylonite deformed by ductile shear zone. Geophysicalgeochemical anomalies delineates a “low resistance and high polarization” anomaly area with Au-As combination anomalies and provides important clues for later prospecting work.
