Luohe iron deposit is located in the northwest of Lu-Zong ore-concentration area,which is the largest iron deposit in the Middle-Lower Yangtze River Valley Metallogenic Belt which is found in the 1970 s,the previous research indicated that it belongs to the porphyrite iron deposit.Xiaobaozhuang deposit was found in 2013,which is located 800~1000m deep beneath the Luohe deposit.The discovery of Xiaobaozhuang deposit is one of the most significant prospecting progresses in the Middle-LowerYangtze River Valley Metallogenic Belt,with vital theoretical signifiance and application value of exploration.Based on the previous study on the geological features and mineralization alteration characteristics of the Luohe iron deposit,took altered mineral chlorite and epidote widely developed as the research object,collected chlorite and epidote samples from middle position-545 m and four different drilling-870-1850 m in different depths of Luohe deposit systematically.On the basis of detailed microscopic identification and electronic probe analysis,carried out in situ LA-ICP-MS trace elements analysis studying to identify the trace elements of chlorite and epidote,try to analyze the relationship between the different trace elemtnts,and obtained the following understanding.The trace elements of chlorite and epidote show that:(1)Fe was negatively correlated with Na?Si and K of chlorite in the deposit middle-545 m of different position and drilling at various depths,has a positive correlation with Mg.(2)The content of Fe,Ti,Na,Zn and Ca in the deposit middle-545 m of chlorite is much higher than that in the borehole and on a wider scale,while no significant difference in Si,Mg,Mn,K and Li.While in the same borehole,the contents of chlorite in Fe,Mn,Cr,As,Zr,Sb,Hf,Th,U and other elements in the deeper part are lower than those in the shallow,while Ni,B,Mg,Ti,Co,Ni and other elements are on the contrary.(3)There is a good positive correlation between Y vs Cr,Sr vs Mn,Y vs V,Co vs Ni,Ti vs As,Ti vs V elements in epidote of the Luohe iron deposit.In addition,many foreign scholars have summed up the prospecting model of porphyry deposit,gained a good effect on studying on porphyry deposits by using trace element contents of chlorite and epidote to calculate the distance of the mineralization center.On the basis,the same research was carried out on the chlorite and epidote of Luohe iron deposit,and compared with the method to determine the location of mineralization center through trace elements of chlorite and epidote in porphyry deposits,estimated the position of Luohe iron deposit mineralization center and concealed rock body.The data show that it is also feasible to estimate the mineralization center through the characteristics of trace elements in the porphyrite deposit chlorite and epidote,and the location of the ore-forming rock is also consistent with the local geological evidence and prove that method has a certain credibility.
