In the southern Songliao Basin, which contains abundant coal resources. Tiefa coalfield area has been put into production and large-scale construction, some coal bearing basins under exploration. But judging from the current proven reserves, can not meet the current and future economic de velopment of coal demand. Broad coverage in the Quaternary and Cretaceous strata, coal bearing strata almost no exposed, looking for new economic value of coal bearing strata has become an urgent need.At the southern margin of Songliao basin is at the junction of Liaoning and Jilin and Inner Mongolia provinces, the division standard is not uniform in the formation and understanding, are difficult to. The study area systematically is predicted in the Songliao Basin, northeast coalfield coalfield prediction and in 1982 1974 to 1976, and there is a corresponding compilation of maps and text. O f the coal bearing strata in the area were compared, the delineation of the coal basin, the coal prediction and resource evaluation. In 1984 1985, has been on Coal Geological Bureau of southern margin of the Songliao Basin coal bearing basin, distribution of coal bearing strata, tectonic, sedimentary environment and coal accumulation has a preliminary understanding of regularity. On the basis of the previous classification and delineation of the 38 tectonic basin, divided three coalfield sedimentary, identified 30 coalfield prediction area, which contains 4 reliable area, 6 more reliable, 14 May 6, that area. For the future to find coal and exploration, coal production reserve base provides a reference.The southern margin of the Songliao basin containing coal strata bounded by Liaohe fault on both sides, lithology and lithofacies differences, divided into two re gions. Liaohe fault zone east of Suihua to Nong'an District, the coal bearing strata of the upper Jurassic Shahe group; Liaohe fault to the west of Kailu area, Upper Jurassic coal bearing strata on the Li Ying Jiang Group, the two groups and the lower Cretaceous sand well group. The study area is located in the Department of Jilin Heilongjiang fold to Xingan Tianshan geosyncline area southwest, West and the Inner Mongolia Greater Khingan Range fold system connected to the South and the Sino Korean paraplatform in Inner Mongolia the northern deep fault zone as a boundary. Because of the junction of the two tectonic units, the structure is more complex, and the volcanic activity is more strong, which has a great influence on the formation and transformation of coal bearing basin. Through the understanding of the geological survey in the study area, the relationship between the formation of the regional tectonic framework and the formation of the faulted basin is analyzed. Because the sedimentary environment is closely related to the coal bearing strata and coal seams, the three types of sedimentary environments, which are the types of alluvial plain before fan, the type of the shallow lake and the type of the edge of the deep lake, are classified. A combination of four coal bearing sedimentary sequence types(alluvial fan vertical vertical sequence, vertical sequence, meandering river delta and lake type vertical sequence vertical sequence), analysis of causes and swamp relationship of lithology and rock under different sedimentary environments. The analysis of the relationship between the function and structure of coal and the environment and the relationship between coal and coal.
