The Zhuxi tungsten-copper ore deposit,located in Jingdezhen of Jiangxi Province,is a world-class super large mineral deposit in Taqian-Fuchun polymetallic metallogenic belt.The previous researchers discussed the geological characteristics,the characters of ore-controlling structure and prospective direction.They also did research on geochemistry,mineralogy and isotope chronology,which have made lots of achievement.However,due to the multi-stage of the metallogenetic host rock,the diversity of mineralization and the difference of copper-tungsten ore body,the understanding of ore-forming stage and deposit genesis remains controversial,which mainly because the type and characteristics of mineralization and other aspects of the study is relatively weak.With the deepening of prospecting work,some of the geological body with mineralization and deep appearance have been revealed,which provides the basis of further research on the mineral deposit genesis.Based on this background,the study of the mineralization characteristics of the deposit will not only deepen the significance of mineralization theory,but also provide the guidance of the next prospecting.Therefore,I selected “Geological Characteristics and Origin discussion of the Zhuxi Tungsten-copper Deposit”as the title of the paper.The main conclusions of this paper are as follows:(1)The ore body is located on the unconformity interface between the upper Carboniferous Huanglong Formation(C2h)and the Neoproterozoic Shuangqiaoshan Group(Pt3sh)metamorphic rocks.The magma rocks-ore body-surrounding rocks has a clear mineral assemblage characteristics in space.(2)According to the analysis ofthe skarn mineral electron microprobe,skarn has the characteristics of typical calcicskarns.The skarn formation period can be divided into four stages: the skarn stage,the retrograde alteration stage,the quartz-sulfide stage,and the carbonate stage.(3)The isotopic analyzes of Carbon,hydrogen,oxygen,sulfur and lead show that the source of carbon has the characteristics of magmatic activity and is influenced by skarnicmetasomatism with surrounding rocks.The source of oxygen is mixed with granite and atmospheric precipitation.The hydrogen-oxygen isotopic composition has the characteristics of mixed magmatic water and atmospheric precipitation.The source of sulfur has the characteristics of typical “magmatic sulfur”,and the hydrothermal system at the time of mineralization shows stable equilibrium state.The source of lead is mainly crustsource.(4)According to the systematic study on the deposit geological characteristics,it is believed that there are at least three stages of tungsten(the main mineralization period of tungsten is near 145Ma),and there are at least two stages of copper mineralization(the main mineralization period of copper is about 159Ma).The formation of the Zhuxi Cu-W polymetallic ore deposit is closely related to the different types of mineralization.The genetic types of tungsten are: skarn-type,greisentype-Sericitetype,hydrothermal-type,and the magmatic type;The genetic types of copper are : hydrothermal vein type and skarn type.(5)The metallogenic model of the Zhuxi tungsten-copper deposit is discussed.The Zhuxi tungsten-copper deposit is controlled by a variety of tectonic processes,which is related to the multi-stage magmatic-fluid emplacement.Ore-forming matters and ore-forming fluids is diverse,and a variety of types of mineralization occurs.
