During the past hundred years of development,gravity prospection has been widely applied in various kinds aspect,such as studying of geological structure features(deep structure,regional structure,oil and gas prospect area,coalfield structure,etc)? delineating targeted rock mass(Salt dome,basin?deposit,etc)?exploration of metallic mineral?monitoring and prevention of natural disasters,because gravity prospecting has good Lateral resolution?gravity data can be measured quickly,and the cost is low.As an agricultural country with the largest population,the three types of fertilizer in our country have a very high demand.However,we are not shortage of phosphorus and nitrogen,but lack of potassium.In recent years,large amount of potash must rely on import,this has a huge impact on the country's agricultural security.So that,our country is committed to carry out international cooperation actively,participating in exploration and exploitation of potash ore in potassium rich countries,such as Laos,DR Congo.Those measures open up the supply of potash ore resources,feedback the domestic market,and ensure the safety of our country's agriculture.Fortunately,I had the opportunity to follow my mentor to participate in the project of potash ore prospecting in Laos in the 2015.In this paper,I delineated potash ore prospect areas by the processing and interpretation of gravity data of the study area.In data processing,I carried out some new attempts,and the specific research content is as follows:(1)I proposed a new correlation imaging method-The improved correlation imaging method based on Euler equation,this method can eliminate the influence of structure index,and the feasibility of the method is verified by model test.(2)By studying the metallogenic mechanism potash ore in Vientiane of Laos,we consider the advantage of using gravity prospecting to explore potash ore is the negative gravity anomaly caused by potash ore with low density and salt-anticline.In the processing of residual anomaly,we should take the influence of rock salt into consider,and regard the rock salt and potash ore as a whole.In research area,negative gravity anomaly is mainly caused by the low density of rock salt and potash ore.(3)Through two potential field separation methods,we extracted the regional gravity anomaly,and analysis the form of base;we selected a suitable local anomaly for subsequent processing by the comparative analysis.(4)Through kinds of the boundary identification methods,we extracted the boundary information,and roughly marked out the level range of anomaly bodies.(5)Researching on mineralizing prospect area emphatically,we obtain the location of source field by using fast imaging methods under the circumstances of less constraint conditions.(6)On the basis of above results,we deduced the mineralization favorable position in the research area,combining with geological data?drilling information and metallogenic mechanism.
