Taking Well XC1 in Dunhuang Basin as research object, the paper aimed to clear accumulation models by the analysis of tectonic evolution and reservoir forming conditions.Comprehensive use of petroleum geology, geochemistry, basin analysis and a variety of disciplines methods and technical means.(1)Main types of Jurassic sedimentary facies in the study area are alluvial fan,fan-delta,braided river delta, littoral and shallow lake and mars59h;(2)From Mesozoic to Cenozoic, the basin has experienced fault basin stage from early Jurassic to middle Jurassic, depression stage in late Jurassic,strike-slip pull-apart stage in early Cretaceous, uplift and erosion stage form late Cretaceous to Paleogene and sinistral strike-slip stage with squeezing form Neogene to Quaternary;(3)Sanwei Mountain has uplift before earlr Jurassic and it is the sag-controlled fault zone;(4)The hydrocarbon source rocks in Dunhuang Basin are mainly dark mudstone of lake facies in upper and mid-lower Jurassic and reservoir porosity is given priority to with secondary porosity;(5)According to the mineral inclusions occurrence and attitude, combining with homogenization temperature of the fluid inclusions, the fluid inclusions in the reservoirs are divided into two phases, the first phase formed in the continuous buried stage, the second phase formed in buried stage after uplift stage;(6)Oil reservoir of Well XC1 has accumulation models of “adjacent generation and lateral storage”,there were two hydrocarbon-charging times and give priority to with the late of early Cretaceous.
