Scientific workflow plays an important role in complex scientific computing.It realizes integration of data,computing and analyses through process integration,and is an effective means for complex scientific computing and process management.In the geospatial domain,geoprocessing workflows have been widely leveraged in spatial data analyses,which enables the automation of geoprocessing workflows,improves capabilities of modeling and reusing,optimizes analysis and mining of geospatial information,as well as simulation and prediction of geological phenomenon.Integration of multiple source heterogeneous geoprocessing resources based on local components is a current research hotspot,and also is a prospective trend.Local geoprocessing components can provide abundant and complex funcions and models for geospatial analyses.Geoscientific workflow tools capable of incorporating multiple source heterogeneous geoprocessing functions are needed by Geo-Cyberinfrastructure in order to realize process integration of geoprocessing resources.However,there is strong heterogeneity in frameworks,platforms and languages among various components.Incorporation of multiple source heterogeneous geoprocessing components is the matter need to be settled.Based on the ideas above,the method is designed and the system is implemented in the paper,main contributions are as follows:(1)A scripting approach integrating mutiple source geoprocesing funcions is proposed,it uses the "glue" characteristic of script languages to loosely couple geoprocessing components in different frameworks.It also uses formal component description approach to reasonably package geoprocessing components in different frameworks,thus obtaining fundamental blocks loosely coupled with the workflow tool.Integration among various geoprocessing components and integration between the workflow tool and the geoprocessing componen are finally implemented following the scripting approach.(2)The workflow tool GeoJModelBuilder is augmented,a script-based workflow engine is designed.The workflow engine realizes mapping from abstract workflows to embedded scripts and automatic execution of scripts,controls data dependency and execution sequences of fundamental blocks,implements process integration and automation of geoprocessing functions.The existing workflow tool GeoJModelBuilder capable of supporting composition and execution of geoprocessing services is extended to further support local geoprocessing components,thus forming a prototype system incorporing mutiple source geoprocessing funcions.
