The in-depth study of the geochemical characteristics of coal is particularly important in Chinawherethe coal resources take the dominant place,which not only can promote the comprehensive utilization of coal resources,but also can effectively reduce and control the harmful composition in coal to environment life.This paper is guided by the theories of geochemistry,coal geology,coal petrology and mineralogy,utilizing the experimental instruments and analysis software of X-Ray fluorescence spectrometry,ICP-MS,polarizing microscope,x-ray diffraction analysis,SEM,SPSS,and CAD.The characteristics of coal and rock and the geochemical characteristics of associated elements of No.12 coal in Wumuchang Mine were discussed.The results show that:(1)The vitrinite reflectance of No.12 coal in Wumuchang Mine is 0.77% that belong to low rank metamorphic bituminous coal.Average vitrinite content is 84.40%,the average exinite content is 2.06%,the average inertinite content is 13.54%.Matrix vitrinite is the main component of vitrinite.In the group of inert matter,the clastic and the main body are the main body and the microspore is the main composition of exinite divided.Thus the No.12 coal belongs to medium high volatile,low ash,low sulfur coal.(2)The minerals in coal are mainly clay minerals of terrigenous clastic formation and authigenic calcite,followed by authigenic pyrite and a small amount of terrigenous detrital quartz.The clay mineral is mainly kaolinite,which is dispersed or filled in the cavity.Coal facies is low peat swamp and the coal bed is formed in the environment with strong water flow activity or strong wind force.In the process of gelation,the cell structure of the plant is severely damaged.(3)The trace elements of V,Ga in coal have a mild enrichment and the content of Li?Be?Cr?Ni?Sr?Cs belongs to the normal range.The content of harmful elements in gangue and bottom coal seam is higher which occur abnormal enrichment.The corresponding preventive measures should be taken to reduce the harm to the outside world.(4)Besides Cr?Ni?Ba?Zn,other trace elements present occurrence state and high correlation of aluminosilicate.Moreover the relationship between REY and clay minerals in coal is close The beneficial element Ga is mainly contained in clay minerals,and is supported by kaolinite.Except gangue,gangue and roof,the total content of trace elements in coal seam under the coal seam is higher than that of the upper coal seam which Ga element is in the lower part of coal seam.The coal seam of TD12-1,TD12-2,TD12-3,TD12-5,TD12-6 and TD12-7 near gangue and clamps gangue is enriched anomaly and average content reach 52.3?g/g beyond the industrial grade boundary value of gallium in coal(30?g/g).
