With the rapid development of contemporary remote sensing technology, aerospace remote sensing satellite imaging with high resolution, high precision, high timeliness,at the same time the amount of data corresponding to the rapid growth of the order of magnitude. And the satellite data transmission channel bandwidth and the amount of spacebome data between the formation of a game problem,so we are eager to study more effective satellite image compression method to reduce the amount of redundant data.In the field of remote sensing satellite image compression, domestic and foreign researchers have carried out a large number of experimental exploration, and also harvest a lot of research results. They try to use different technical solutions for remote sensing image of the effective compression, but because of the practical application of poor universality and other reasons, most did not achieve universal promotion.Researchers have found that stripping and band registration have an effect on the quality of image compression. So we consider the first on-orbit processing of the image, that is,the relative radiation correction and band registration, and then the image compression. However, the current remote sensing image compression processing mode,is the sensor to obtain the image directly compressed down. For the optical full-color original image data, the use of more efficient compression algorithm for direct compression;for multi-spectral data is the use of sub-band compression processing, downlink transmission. It is believed that with the increasing hardware and software environment of remote sensing processing platform,it will realize the real-time on-orbit processing of remote sensing image, that is,after the rail radiation processing, band registration and so on,and then compressed to the ground. In this paper,we mainly study and discuss the influence of optical image processing on image compression performance, and we use JPEG2000 algorithm to compress the image. The effects of remote sensing image compression quality and efficiency are studied from the aspects of relative radiation correction and band registration. Before the data compression on the star, the first strip removal and band registration processing, and then data compression processing. This minimizes the redundancy of image compression, improves image quality, accelerates data transfer, and enables real-time processing.Based on the practical limitations of hardware and software environment, this paper explores the application value and feasibility of applying on-orbit preprocessing technology to real-time processing on the star. The research of the thesis is divided into three aspects:1,the current optical satellite image of the conventional processing mode,as well as on-orbit processing methods for comparative analysis, compare the difference between the two.Explore the possible effects of optical imaging on image compression in the on-orbit process.2,through the optical full-color original image data and the relative radiation correction of the image data were lossy compression and lossless compression experiments, comparative analysis of the relative radiation after school image compression quality and efficiency changes, thus demonstrating the optical image The effect of relative radiation correction on the quality and efficiency of JPEG2000 compression.3,through the optical multi-spectral original image data and the band-based image data were lossy compression and lossless compression experiments, comparative analysis of the band after the compression of the image compression quality and efficiency changes to demonstrate the optical image of the The effect of band registration on the quality and efficiency of JPEG2000 compression.
