The Aer depression is the northeastern part of the Erlian Basin, which is developed on the crustal basement of the Hercynian period. The Cenozoic is characterized by a typical oil-rich depression.Based on the detailed study of tectonic geometrical features, the structural units of the Aer depression are divided, and the distribution of the fractures and the types of tectonic styles are clarified. The main development of the Aer depression in the north-west fault,Boundary of the Aertala Fracture control the depression. The evolution of the Aar depression is divided into four stages: the early rift period, the rift development period, the rift atrophy period, return to ascension period. The structure of the basin is mainly characterized by the tensile properties and the extensional tectonic pattern. The evolution of the Aer depression is divided into the rift valley. At the same time in the late Teng period, the end of Teng second sections and the Saihan Formation in the late existence of construction reversal, the formation of a series of large-scale anticline uplift, thus forming a structural trap.At the same time, tectonic movement controls the distribution range of hydrocarbon source rocks,as well as the maturity and accumulation of oil and gas,the transport and accumulation of oil and gas,and the effectiveness of traps and the preservation of oil and gas reservoirs.
