Complex network can be seen everywhere in people's lives,and it has become an indispensable tool for people's work and life.So the problems of complex networks are becoming more and more obvious.As one of the most common manifestations of network disaster,cascading failures have long been studied by researchers.Recent years,the interdependent networks model is proposed and it promote the research of cascading failures,a lot of useful results have been obtained in the study of cascading failures based on the interdependent networks model.The interdependent networks is a kind of coupling network,and the other kind of coupling network also has many.These networks do exist in real life,but the research in this field is not mature yet.So study on how to construct a robust such network has practical significance.One of the most important research directions in cascading failures is to study how to improve the robustness of the network.And there are many achievements in the field,but there are still places to be improved.In this paper,another coupling network model and the method to improve the robustness of interdependent networks are studied:(1)The functionally identical coupled networks model is proposed.The model simulates a class of coupled networks in real life and the research on this kind of coupling network is still relatively small.By studying the robustness of the model,we propose a method for constructing such networks with strong robustness.(2)A preferential attachment strategy for improving existing connectivity link addition strategies is proposed.And by applying this preferential attachment strategy to three existing connectivity link addition strategies,we find that each improved strategy is obviously better than before in improving the robustness of interdependent networks.Because this method is not a connectivity link addition strategy,but an assistant strategy to improve other strategies,this strategy is more general and universal.(3)Based on the analysis of the causes of cascading failures in complex networks,we propose a kind of connectivity link addition strategies.Analysis of reasons influencing process of cascading failures also explains the pros and cons of the three common connectivity link addition strategies.Through the experiment,we found that the connectivity link addition strategy we proposed can improve the robustness of the network more than three common strategies.The main content of this paper is the robustness of the coupling network.It is important to study the robustness of the functionally identical coupled networks model in how to build a better network;the proposed preferential attachment strategy has a good effect in general and used to improve the existing connectivity link addition strategies;the new coupling strategy has good effect on improving the robustness of interdependent networks.
