Many factors including improper maintenance and material aging will lead to the occurrence of the defects during the operation of buildings.If these defects are not dealt with timely,they will affect the life span and operation of the building negatively.Besides,it will also induce some potential hazard of safety.At present,these defects information is stored in discrete and unstructured way,which was produced in the period of construction and operation.They cannot be shared and utilized.The whole industry lacks an effective defects database to integrate and analysis these information.It is also difficult for traditional Non-destructive testing technologies to extract geometry properties of irregular defects.Therefore,it has become a research direction and trend to build up the defects integrated management system of housing in order to enhance the application level of facility management in building industry.According to the common defect reasons and types,defects information is categorized according the different defects properties.A defect collection case,which corresponds to the international classification standards,has been developed to capture core contents of defect information during the work process.Defect domain ontology in this study is developed by Protege based on the information categories.Then,an autonomous approach is developed for detecting and quantifying irregular defects on the surface of buildings?This system can help extract the geometry properties of defect and reconstruct the defect.In order to apply previous experience to solve similar problems in the future.A defect database is built on the defect ontology schema by using SPARQL as querying language and CBR as reasoning tool.Lastly,an integrated system including the application process and function modules is designed based on the previous research results.In conclusion,the research provides an efficient method to manage the discrete and unstructured defects information.CBR can help managers make decisions.Ponit Cloud technology can help quantify the irregular defects.Thus,this study can help related companies to make scientific decisions and improve the overall efficiency of the facility management.
