It has been carrying out geochemical mapping at various scales in China, ranging from ultra-low density to very low density-1:200,000(1: 250,000)-1:50,000 to a large scale.A large amount of geochemical data was obtained. In the past, geochemical data were mainly used to delineate geochemical anomalies, divide ore-forming prospects and delineate prospecting targets. It is relatively rare in basic geological research and geochemical information has not been fully excavated.Chongli District in Hebei Province is located in the Xuanhua-Fengning Ore Concentration Zone and is rich in mineral resources. It is dominated by gold ore and lead-zinc polymetallic ore, producing Dongping extra-large gold ore,and Sandaogou lead-zinc-silver polymetallic ore.A 1:500000 geochemical survey was carried out at the site of the Chongli. The analysis of Au,Ag,Cu,Sn,As,Sb,Bi,Hg,Cr,Co,Ni,Zn,Mo,Cd,Te,W,Pb,F 19 elements and were used to compile map geochemical and geochemical anomaly maps.Based on the measurement results of the 1:50000 river sediments in this area, the geochemical characteristics and distribution of elements were comprehensively analyzed.Combined with the 1:50000 geological maps in this area, the geochemical data was used to solve the geological structure problems and the following results were obtained:(1)Using Geoexpl as the main platform, combined with SPSS and Mapgis statistics regional geochemical parameters, and analyzed the geochemical distribution of different geological bodies.Using R-type clustering analysis and correlation analysis, elemental composition and classification of the entire region were carried out,and the geochemical characteristics and distribution rules of the whole region were summarized.(2)Based on the single-element geochemical maps and anomaly maps of Cu,Co,Cr,and Ni,the distribution range of oblique amphibolites from the Chongli Group in the Archean was basically determined.(3)Based on the geochemical maps of W,Sn,Mo,Bi,and other elements, the distribution range of medium-acid rock masses was identified,in particular, the distribution range of the relatively new Shangshuiquan rock masses in the new era was identified, and the rock masses were inferred. The extension of the northwest direction has certain control over gold mineralization.(4)Using the distributional features of As,Sb,F and Hg elements,it is inferred that buried faults have an important role in the study of geological backgrounds and metallogenic regularities.According to the linear distribution law of geochemical elements in the range of maps, identify possible hidden fractures.Combined with the known fractures and distribution rules of metallogenic belts, comprehensive analysis of inferred fractures and corresponding geochemical interpretations provide strong evidence for subsequent geological surveys and prospecting predictions. The geologic structure deduced from geochemistry basically coincides with the boundary range shown by actual geological data, indicating that the application of geochemical data in this area is indeed feasible. Therefore,in areas where geological mapping is difficult to implement,it is preferable to use the geochemical exploration data for preliminary delineation.
