With the progress of science and technology,we put forward higher requirements on the control performance of systems.The urgent demand of engineering practice is one of the main reasons for the nonlinear systems and robust control theory developed rapidly.We usually study the Lyapunov stability of systems,which is a dynamic performance of the systems in the infinite time interval.But in the practical application,we are more concerned about the transient performance of the systems during a fixed finite time interval.Therefore,the research for the finite time stability theory of systems is very meaningful.Secondly,the stability issues are often linked to the dissipation theory.As a special case of dissipation,passivity is an important property of a system and also an effective method of system control.In recent years,passivity has played an important role in analysis and control design of linear and nonlinear systems,and it provides a competitive tool for studyingstability of uncertain or nonlinear systems.The main contributions are as follows:The first chapter briefly intr-oduces the causes of the finite-time robust passive control and the research history,and presents the main research methods of the singular system.It points out the difference and correlation between system finite time stability and Lyapunov asymptotic stability and illustrates the significance of the finite time stability in practical control theory.The second chapter deals with the problem of finite-time robust passive con-trol for a class of linear systems with time delays and uncertainties.By using Lyapunov-Krasovskii functional method,sufficient condition for finite time bound-edness and robust passive is given.Secondly,based on passive control theory,the sufficient condition for the existence of finite-time robust passive controller is given.This condition such that the resulting closed-loop system is finite-time boundedness for all admissible uncertainties and satisfies the given passive control index.By using the constructed Lyapunov function and applying linear matrix inequalities techniques(LMIs),the design method of the finite-time optimal passive controller is derived and cant be obtained.Finally,simulation results demonstrate the validity of the proposed approach.The third chapter extends the concept of finite-time stability to the singular systems,and studies the problems of finite-time passive control for time-delay sin-gular nonlinear system and gives the corresponding controller of the design method;further the corresponding results are generalized to uncertain time-delay singular nonlinear systems.For the neutral singular system,gives a sufficient condition for the finite time stability.Finally,we summarize this thesis and look forward to the future.
