The gas reservoir prediction can be realized based on seismic attribute and seismic inversion.Firstly,we need to analyze different seismic attributes in seismic interpretation.Particularly,we describe the frequency and amplitude in reservoir prediction and give an insight into the methods of attributes extraction with pointing out their advantage and shortage. Then,we compare the mainstream inversion methods such as post-stack Constrained Spare Spike Inversion(CSSI),Seismic-facies Constrained Non-linear Stochastic Inversion(SCNSI)and Geo-statistics Inversion(GSI).After that,we analyze the time-frequency in seismic signal processing, and also analyze the feature of wave propagation in elastic media. In addition,we use low-frequency shadow and describe several reasons for interfering this appearance.Based on fluid active attribute expression,we analyze its characteristics and present a time-frequency tool named General S Transform(GST)and a mathematic method named wavelet transform. Finally,we apply former research to Neogene gas reservoir in Pearl River Estuary Basin.According to this case,it has been proved that Seismic-facies Constrained Non-linear Stochastic Inversion has a better effect on gas reservoir prediction.Besides, the inversion results are consistent with seismic data, and also anastomose to well-logging data. With the help of time-frequency analysis, the existing evidence of gas reservoir has been furthermore proved, which can offer important support for the gas exploration in this area.
