Shale oil receives much concern as a unconventional petroleum resource.This thesis uses the Group 1 at lower Cretaceous Teng ger Formation of Aer Sag in Erlian Basin as study target and discriminates sequence boundaries and divides sequences of the study area through seismic,logging and analysis of test data based on the theories of continental lacustrine basin sequence stratigraphy and sedimentology.The thesis give the scientific basis for shale oil evaluation and favorable exploration zone prediction through the research of shale lithology,geochemistry and spatial characteristics within sequence framework.This paper divides the target formation into 3 sequences through seismic,logs interpretation and core description.Lower Teng group 1 equals SQ1,upper Teng Group 1 equals SQ2 and SQ3.The sequence is divided into LST,TST and HST combined with logs analysis and the parasequence sets characteristics.So the study area has 9 system tracts.And then we clearly know the spatial distribution of shale in every system tract combined with connecting-well sections.The shale in the study area mainly consists of deep gray mudstone and silty mudstone which are made of clay minerals and minerals,only very few carbonate minerals by using core description,slice observation,organic geochemical analysis testing and SEM microstructure analysis.Its fragility index is high because it contains much brittle minerals.Geochemistry analysis shows the average TOC is 1.9% and the abundance of organic is relatively high.Kerogen are mainly type ?.Organic is in the mature stage.The objects of shale reservoir evaluation mainly are shale in LST and TST which are in wide distribution,high abundance organic as distribution and organic materials play important roles in the shale reservoir evaluation.This paper divides shale reservoir in study area into three types: target reservoir,favorable reservoir and invalid reservoir based on deepwater sequence stratigraphy in continental fault-depressed lacustrine basin and taking shale reservoir evaluation standard into consideration.
