With the rapid development of computer technology,the application of data visualization is becoming more and more extensive.The emergence of data visualization makes the researchers do not have to face the boring data but the vivid picture,which improves the correctness of the data interpretation.In geological exploration,seismic data visualization is an important part of seismic data interpretation.Proper seismic data visualization software can improve the correctness of staff interpretation of seismic data.With the rapid development of computer hardware,especially the development of graphics cards,making more and more complex scenes of real-time rendering possible.This thesis mainly improves the traditional three-dimensional display technology of seismic data,and studies the application of adaptive surface subdivision strategy in 3D display of seismic data.The main work and innovation of the thesis are as follows:(1)A three-dimensional display method of seismic data based on surface subdivision is proposed.In this paper,the traditional three-dimensional display method of seismic data is studied,and realizes a new three-dimensional display method of seismic data based on surface subdivision algorithm.The new one solved the problem of connection ambiguity.(2)A GPU-based adaptive surface subdivision method is proposed.The adaptive strategy of the method is completely completed by the GPU,which greatly reduces the computational burden of the CPU.Adaptive strategies include back-culling test,distance adaptive strategy,orientation adaptive strategy,and patch size adaptive strategy.In the end,the gaps between the patches due to the use of adaptive strategies are eliminated by gap prevention algorithm.(3)This thesis designs and realizes a real-time three-dimensional display system of seismic data.Based on the research results of(1)and(2),the system realizes a three-dimensional display system of seismic data.This system not only makes the algorithm more perfect,but also provides a powerful guarantee for the interpretation of seismic data,which is important in practical application.
