The Ordovician carbonate rock strata has a great potential for oil and gas exploration in Tabei western areas, meanwhile,Complex oil and gas phase distribution and multi source and multi period of hydrocarbon supply conditions have brought great challenges to oil and gas exploration in this area. This paper defines Ordovician oil and gas origin and formation mechanism in study area by systematically analyzing the Tabei Halahatang area and yingmai2 area geochemical characteristics of Ordovician carbonate rock oil and gas region. The conclusions are drawn:(1)the ordovician gas is mainly composed of wet gas in the research area, both belong to typical oil-type gas;(2)In the study area, the main crude oil is normal crude oil,but there are some heavy oil in the halahatang north area because of the microbial activity;(3)there are associated gas with low maturity and pyrolysis gas with high maturity in the research area, and the primary Cracked gas is kerogen pyrolysis gas(4)Preliminaryly studying the formation mechanism of Halahatang hydrogen sulfide,Hydrogen sulfide is mainly characterized by the formation of BSR(5)The study area mainly exists in ?-O1 and O2-O3 two sets of source rocks, but the main rocks is O2-O3 hydrocarbon source rocks(6)The migration direction of oil and gas is from south to north in the study area by The density of crude oil and the drying coefficient.
