| Muglad basin is an important part of CNPC's project which is called “overseas daqing”.Muglad basin has a large recoverable oil reserve.It has made great contributions to the successful exploration and development of chinese petroleum industry in overseas.But after many years of exploration,regional trap's reserve is not enough.New discovered reservoir size is getting smaller and smaller,the difficulty of exploration is more and more big.Exploration overall has entered the middle and late.It is urgent for us to carry out technical difficulties for the Block 1/2/4,especially in the west of Block 4,looking for scale targets and new growth point,and providing strong technical support and reserve support to start a new undertaking in Su Dan project.The paper is based on the theory of tentonic geology and hydrocarbon accumulation.Based on the full investigation,the fault distribution and its characteristics,tectonic styles and genesis in Block 4 in Muglad basin are studied by using seismic interpretation,source rock samples analyzed result,data logging,vitrinite reflectance,buried history data.The paper furtherly clarify the history of regional tectonic evolution,the activity of important faults,and the history of hydrocarbon generation and expulsion in the region.Combined with the related information of source rock and reservoir cap,the effect of regional tectonic activity on hydrocarbon accumulation is determined.On the basis of this,combined with the known oil and gas distribution in each oil field,the regularity of oil and gas accumulation in each formation in west of Block 4 is proposed.Through the analysis of comprehensive treatment of the data,we get the exploration zone evaluation map of oil and gas structure in the west of Block 4 and use this research result to classify and evaluate all kinds of possible traps which are full of hydrocarbon possibly.Eventually,after a comprehensive consideration,we finally determine the favorable exploration area in the west of the Block 4. |
