Along with the rapid development of urbanization, the mileage of urban road increase fast. Due to this reason, the pollution of road runoff water that caused by raindrops splashes the road surface is become more and more serious. Planning and constructing the urban road reasonably, purifying urban water is necessary.Selecting 12 urban road of Hangzhou that vary from the grade of road and thedata of road cross section. In the same rainfall, comparing and analyzing the water samples of these roads. First of all, testing the CODCr, Pb, SS, TN and p H of these water samples.Comparing the difference of water samples pollutant composition of the water samples of 4grades of road, urban expressway, major road, collector road and spur track.Secondly, analyzing the correlation of water samplespollutant compositions and the data of road cross sections. Finally, taking the analysis of regression with high correlation water data and road cross section data and building math model. Analyzing and discussing the model of water quality. Through above analysis, we have following conclusions:(1)Pb,COD as a representative of pollutant, the difference of different urban roads’ pollutant characteristic is obvious:major road>urban expressway>collector road>spur track, the difference is on the motorway.(2)The pollutant Pb of runoff almost come from motorway, the majority of COD come from motorway, the majority of TN come from green belt, SS come from all the road cross section equably.(3)In generally, the more the numbers of the lanes, the more the volume of traffic, the runoff pollution is more. But the growth rate of concentration of pollutant does not increase linearly with the numbers of lanes. The traffic efficiency is also affected to the growth rate.(4) Concerning to the growth rate of Pb, the roads of 6 lanes’ growth rate is the lowest, and have the best traffic efficiency.(5) The broader the road is, the total runoff pollution growth rate is higher.
