Comparing to WEDM in the emulsion medium,dry WEDM technology has the characteristics of small processing surface roughness value,the high straightness precision,the narrow discharge gap,the processing surface has no electrolytic corrosion,etc.In addition,the force is small,especially suitable for the finishing maching.In order to better play dry WEDM technology advantages,further improve the machining quality and machining efficiency,machining stability have higher requirements and needs.In this paper,the WEDM maching stability was studied from the perspective of the distribution uniformity of the discharge point.In order to conduct futher study of the distribution of discharge point,this paper mainly studied a set of experimental research methods of spark discharge position detection and spark discharge point distribution uniformity evaluation module.This method and evaluation module was used to study the discharge point distribution rule.This paper made the following research on the spark discharge point position detection method: through comparing to various advantages and disadvantages of discharge point location detection methods,this paper choosed high precision branch current method to detect discharge point location.Based on branch current method to set up hardware parts of discharge point location detection system.Labview is applied to implement system software modules.In the calibration experiments,in order to improve the experiment precision and efficiency,this paper studied the wire length's influence on the acquisition precision.Through contrast experiment,this paper selected the optimal discharge point calibration sample size.Through theoretical and experimental analysis obtained the highest accuracy calculate formula of discharge point location.So as to got a set of discharge point position detection method with higher accuracy and the reliability is verified.In this paper,we focused on studying discharge point distribution uniformity.Due to discharge point distribution evaluation method is rare,this paper refered the evaluation of method uniformity in many fields and improved them.The discharge uniformity evaluation method of discharge point distribution which is suitable for this paper is concluded and Labview is used to implement the preparation of the discharge point distribution uniformity evaluation module.The evaluation module can clearly distinguished similar the uniformity of the distribution of discharge points between water mist medium and atmospheric medium in the form of quantitative.Different laws of the distribution of discharge points which occurred in atmosphere and emulsion dielectric medium is evaluated.Finally,the building discharge point position detection experiment method and the uniformity of the electric spark evaluation module is applied to research the uniformity of discharge point distribution under different medium,the offset,table feed,the discharge laws of discharge point distribution under various processing conditions was conclude.
