Elestic Deformation Reserch On Rolls Of HZ21 Type 20hi Mill Based On FEM Analysis

Process for grain-oriented silicon steel and high-grade no oriented silicon steel cold-rolling have characteristics such as high resistant force to deformation, brittleness, breakage rate during cold rolling and strip temperature. Most of rolling mills for grain-oriented silicon steel and high-grade no oriented silicon steel are 20-Hi mills. Since 2005,more than 10 sets of HZ21 type 20-Hi reversing cold rolling mills were built up in China, in which key mechanical and electrical equipments imported from abroad,used to roll hot-rolled silicon steel strip into final thickness cold-rolled strip.However,overseas company who provided equipments did not provide silicon steel cold rolling technology,specially for rolls shape or profile,concerned to stability of cold rolling process and shape of rolled strip,should be scientifically calculated and choosed by practical used and checked.A typical technology is to make idle second intermediate roll(2IMR) and working roll(WR) with initial crown,and first intermediate roll(1IMR) with taper shape.Then,we can counteract rolls elestic deformation by using that roll shape and back-up roll bending device called ASU eccentric crown control system,and then control strip flatness. So,accurate calculated rolls elastic deformation value is the base of rolls shape or profile design.In this study,we used finite element (FE)-based simulation technology in ABAQUS FEM analysis,to simulate and calculate,and then acquire rolls elastic deformation accurate value and shape.Then we designed and modified rolls shape system,and put it into practical used at workshop.Domestically leading strip flatness,transverse thickness deviation,strip breakage rate,yield was achieved.We can conclude that this finite element (FE) simulation technology was scientifically modeled,calculated and right rolls shape system was designed reasonably.
