| Lake is an important water resource. In recent years, lake pollution and eutrophication is becoming more serious, and has an direct affect with ecological environment and human life. It is necessary to strengthen the monitoring and management of the water quality. Conventional water quality monitoring is time-consuming and difficult to react overall water quality of lakes, the remote sensing has a wide scope of monitoring, long-term advantages of low cost and ease of dynamic monitoring and has the great potential in terms of monitoring of eutrophication.The theory, techniques and methods of remore monitoring of water quality and monitoring indicators is summarized in this paper. Chlorophyll-a and suspended solids are the two main substances in the spectral characteristics of the water and also the mature water quality parameters in researching and application.With data preprocessing and extracting information in Taihu lake, the quantitative estimation model is based on different function regression model in the way of multiple band groups through the Landsat 5 TM and measured quasi-synchronous data of chlorophyll-a and suspended solids in this paper. The result is showed that, the best correlation coefficient for chlorophyll-a is reached to 0.842 in the way of exponential regression equation with(TM1 + TM3) / TM1 / TM3 and the best correlation coefficient for suspended solids is reached to 0.936 in the way of exponential regression equation with TM2+TM3.The spatial distribution is based on the chlorophyll-a and suspended solids estimation model with the appraisal of model accuracy and the summary of error reason in this paper. The spatial analysis of the eutrophication reason for Taihu is combined with natural factors and human activity factors. It may be the data and theory for the relevant departments to grasp and improve the situation of eutrophication in Taihu. |
