As a novel control method, adaptive inverse control has got large development in the past decades. Up to now, theoretical study of adaptive inverse control is relatively mature, and there have been many practical applications, however, application example of this method in glutamic acid fermentation system is not too much. This thesis studies two major elements, one is the judgment of the glutamic acid fermentation system's reversibility and stability of the inverse system, and the other is the application of inverse control method in glutamic acid fermentation system.We can design good adaptive inverse control without knowing the plant's mathematic model. The control of plant's dynamic response and plant's disturbance canceling is respectively done. They don't impact each other. So we can best enhance the system's performance and erase disturbance. To use this control method, it's the key to obtain the exact inverse model, however, before the object inverse modeling, we must first determine whether the plant is reversible and whether the inverse system is stable.For linear and nonlinear system, according to the structures of the adaptive inverse control, the methods of judging the existence of plant's invertibility were summarized, several commonly used methods are given, and the stability of the inverse system is analyzed, which consists of methods to obtain inverse system of a special unstable inverse, which provided the basis for the inverse control method.Simplified model of glutamic acid fermentation is proposed on the basis of the research of glutamic acid fermentation modeling, and detailed analysis which signifies the glutamic acid fermentation system's reversibility and stability is given combining with determination method given above.The glutamic acid fermentation system is multi-input multi-output system, for such particularity multivariable system, a new adaptive inverse control method is given, and then the inverse control system of the simplified glutamic acid fermentation model is established combined with the general inverse modeling method. For disturbance present in the actual industry, a disturbance eliminator is designed to improve control accuracy. The simulation results show the superiority of this method.Decoupling properties arising from the inverse control were studied. Since the glutamic acid fermentation system's accurate mathematical model and the system's internal parameter are uncertain, the neural network inverse control method is introduced, the pseudo-linear system which consists of the inverse controller and the objects implements approximate decoupling, then do the simulation utilizing linear system design methodology, simulation results verify the decoupling of input and output variable.
