| Along with our country’s economy rapidly developing, people’s life has been greatly improved. Without afraid of hungry, people start to pursue quality of our life, such as skin care. Therefore, recently the cosmetic businesses in our country acquire enormous achievements. However, some issues which relate to preservatives in cosmetic come forth in our society, which somehow hinders the development of country’economy and the people’s life. So the determination of preservatives in cosmetic is becoming more and more important.In this paper, the method has been developed for simultaneous determination of Phenol, Benzyl alcohol, Methyl Benzoate, Ethyl Benzoate,2-chloro-4-methoxyphenol, p-Chloro-m-cresol,2,4,6-Trichlorophenol,4-bromo-o-cresol,4-Chloro-3,5-dimethyphenol, 2,4-dichloro-3,5-dimethylphenol,4-Hyddroxybenzic acid methyl ester,4-PhenylPhenol, 4-Hydroxybenzic acid ethyl ester,4-Hydroxybenzoic acid propyl ester, Phenyl Benzoate, 4-Hydroxybenzic acid isobutyl ester,4-Hydroxbenzic acid butyl ester, Pentachlorophenol, 2-Benzyl-4-chlorophenol, Triclosan, Benzyl-4-hydroxybenzoate twenty one kinds of preservatives. Ultrasonic extraction solvents and durations were selected. Linearity, detection limit, recovery and precision were also determined. The relative standard deviations were between 1.19%-6.68%. The recoveries were between 90.46%-99.56%. The limits of detection were between 50 mg/L and 250 mg/L. The method was simple, rapid and sensitive. It was able to accurately detect 21 kinds of preservatives content in cosmetics. |
