The application of plastic product has been in many fields such as medical treatment, automobile, machinery, defense industry, electronics and aerospace etc. The importance of injection molding industry on production industry becomes more and more prominent. The quality of plastics products depends on the mold design while gating system is an important part of the mold design. When the mold is designed, how to optimize the gating system, especially for the products with complicated structure, and how to reasonably choose the position and quantity of gate is one of the prerequisites of getting qualified products, which has great research importance.CAE analysis technique was firstly used in this thesis, which took PTV back cover as a research object to conduct the study on how the gating system to influence the product warpage. The results show that the main factors that influence the product warpage are gate location and gate quantity in gating system, but gate sizes, sprue dimensions, runner dimensions and cold-slug well dimensions just have very little effect on the product warpage. At the same time, the result demonstrates that, when the gate location was changed from the middle area to the outside, the value of warpage was decreased firstly and then increased, which illustrates that the flow of balanced gate configuration is more conductive to control plastic parts warpage. Compared with the relatively balanced gate quantity, increasing and decreasing the gate quantity will increase the trend of the warpage.Based on the aforementioned research in this thesis, which took projector middle frame as a object of more complicated structure, the solution of the smallest warpage value was got, in which 10 gates were set through the use of the assisted simulation analysis in Moldflow software. What's more, as the final mold gating system, it was very important to optimize the gate location and runner layout scheme at the same time. The value of product warpage was measured after the mold trail test. Compared with the result of Moldflow analysis, the actual warpage value was consistent with the simulation analysis in Moldfolw software. The trend of the warpage on the product was consistent with the analysis result too. The apparent molding deformation had not been found on the product after the trail test. The requirement of the actual molding production could be met by the optimized and best gating system through trail molding result. The adjustment method proposed in this thesis and based on the influence of gating system to the product warpage could guide the practical production.
