The rational use of electricity is a form of science of electricity. It is necessary to develop a strategy that making enterprises reach a peak load shifting effect in the production of electricity and calculating the reasonable dispatch of corporate power at times of low demand through the way of reasonable time to adjust electricity, and avoiding the peak hours of electricity. This strategy can not only reduce electricity costs, but also cut down the burden of network at times of peak demand. This paper uses a combination of the grey system theory and model predictive control analysizing power usage of coal mine drainage system. Establishing grey model of water inflow in tunnel by application of gray system theory and realizing the forcast of water inflow of the future period. Calculating pump scheduling in ordinary and low period by using method of model predictive control. Eventually, develop a reasonable power strategy of the coal mine drainage system. The subject build the model of water inflow and simulate the strategy using MATLAB software. The results show that the gray model has the able to predict inflow efficiently and make system to transfer the load accurately while the method of model predictive control has calculated the reasonable pump scheduling in ordinary and low period. This strategy makes mine drainage system to achieve a reasonable use of electricity, meeting the constraint of the level of water storage and reaching the desired effect.
