With the development of open pit mine engineering, open pit coal mine of China’s increasing, the study on failure mechanism of the slope is a difficult problem,research on the failure mechanism of water-filled sandy slope is also very complicated. Based on full investigation and study at home and abroad on the slope stability evaluation research results, application of simulation experiment,theoretical analysis, numerical simulation and other means of water-filled sandy slope damage mechanism was studied; through internal and externalinjection experiment. The water infiltration slope; through of relevant theory of water sediment transport experiments and the water-filled slope piping mechanism, correlation the experimental parameters are obtained water-filled slope. Using the finite element numerical simulation software FEPG simulation analysis in holes orempty cases, rupture process of the slope and the rupture process of stress change, which caused by the rupture of slope. Through the study above, the failure mechanism of the slope of the deeper understanding, to provide guarantee for safety production in mine.
