The safe, high efficient and smooth operation of the multi-product pipeline system is a very complex task with many constraints to be considered, which lies on whether the schedule could be well programmed and executed. The optimal schedule could assist the pipeline company to improve its comparative advantage markedly and win its economic benefits. Therefore, the investigation of optimal scheduling for products pipeline is of operation significance.Based on the deep analysis of scheduling of multi-product pipelines, the compilation methods, basic principles and basic steps about products pipelines scheduling were concluded.According to the different ways of operation to establish and solve mathematical models, which could make schedule automatically. In the model 1,the minimum deviation between operation time windows and demand time windows are taken as the objective functions. In order to solve the model, the heuristic rule is used to seek optimal delivering schedule. In the model 2,the minimum deviation between delivery flows and average delivery flows are taken as the objective functions 1,the minimum deviation between operation time windows and demand time windows are taken as the objective functions 2.Linear weighted sum method was used to solve the model.According to the models and calculation methods put forward,a corresponding software has been programmed using Visual Studio 2012 C# language in Windows 7 environment.Calculations had been carried out for one of North China multi-product pipelines by using the software. The software can be used to make delivering schedule and to optimize the pipelines on different sides.Computational results include: batch injection schedule of the initial station, batch delivery schedule of the intermediate station, the deviation between operation time windows and demand time windows, the deviation between delivery flows and average delivery flows. Results are available for the prediction of multi-product pipeline scheduling and operation.
