Circulating cooling water is one of the most important types of water system in petrochemical industry.The water consumption of the circulating cooling water is more than60% of the industrial water consumption.Optimizing the network structure and reducing the water consumption of fresh water and circulating cooling water is significant.The paper studys the optimization of the circulating water heat exchanger network in the atmospheric and vacuum distillation unit.The circulating water heat exchange network of the atmospheric and vacuum distillation unit is also simulated and optimized in the paper.The main research work is as follows.This paper summarizes the most common problems in the process system.In this paper,the demand of energy and the importance of water saving and emission reduction are discussed.Two basic methods of heat exchange network synthesis are summarized,pinch point design method and mathematical programming method.The contents and design methods of these two methods and the results are discussed.In order to meet the engineering practice,this paper simulates and optimizes the heat transfer network in the heat exchanger network of the constant pressure reducing device.The method of optimizing the circulating water heat exchanger network is to construct the network flow model of constant vacuum distillation unit.Through the model simulation and structure,the mixed hierarchical structure model is built.The model is divided into the mixed hierarchical structure.So the final circulating water heat exchanger network can not only realize the reduction of circulating water consumption,but also reduce the number of network connections.The optimized circulating water heat exchanger network is more favorable to the network and can reduce the investment cost.In this paper,the optimization of the project is small,the existing equipment is used,and it has the guiding significance to the actual production operation.The program also can be applied to any other circulating water heat exchanger networks,such as the wax oil hydrogenation unit,hydrocracking unit,diesel hydrogenation unit and so on.After the optimization,the circulating water heat exchanger network can effectively assist the petrochemical enterprises to save water and reduce emision.
