Analysis Of The Behavior Patterns Of The Old People In The Use Of Furniture

According to statistics from 2010 to 2012,the aging population of our country will significantly increase from 12.3% to 31.1% of the total.Most developed countries around the world has entered the aging society,the number of people over 65 will be more than 617 million,and the number of the elderly will be more than the sum of the whole population of Europe,and China will gradually turn into a country of the old.In this context,what the consumable market concerns for will tend to switch from the younger to the older.A serious social problem urgently need more products suitable for the elderly,in terms of type,function,design and material.The demand of the elderly will increase significantly,for the changes in many aspects like social role,physical condition,economic conditions and so on.Due to various reasons,furniture on sale is so rare for the old people.A large amount of furniture,whether in function or form,are not suitable for the elderly to use.In this paper,based on the above problems,the research designed furniture for old people to use,has a very real social significance.In this paper,the position in objective is quite definite.In the process of research and practice,we not only research on the physiological and psychological state of the elderly,but also on the impact of the various elements in elderly furniture design.In addition,according to the physical and psychological characteristics of the old and the concept of safety design,combination of product design methods and means,we will search for design furniture for old,and apply to design practice.
