Top-blowing oxygen steel-making is the main method of modern steel-making and widely used in metallurgical industry.Converter system consists of furnace body,tilting mechanism,trunnion ring,furnace hitch and other components,which has the characteristics of low speed,overloading and poor working conditions,it has a highly safety performance demanding to its important components.Considering the smelting process at high temperature and at tilting state from time to time,then the stress state of the important component is difficult to be obtained by the method of field test,the use of CAE simulation technology has become an effective measure.But the CAE simulation usually considers loading states in different tilting angles of converter as static state,and different tilt angles are simulated to obtain the loading history during the tilting process of the converter system.250 t flexible bolted converter is treated as the research object in this paper,a new way is used with dynamic simulation software MotionView to establish the dynamics analysis multi-body model of the converter system which includes all the components,then simulation the dynamic response of the converter system during the process of tilting.The important parts of the converter system,such as trunnion ring and trunnion have been established as flexible body model,and conducted the analysis based on rigid-flexible coupling simulation,the continuous response signals ware obtained by using multi-body dynamics simulation,then the thermal-mechanical coupling stress field of the trunnion ring was simulated by the finite element analysis.The work of this paper has reference value for the research of the dynamic response and stress level during the tilting process of the flexible bolted converter.The methods with multi-body dynamics simulation combing the finite element analysis and the rigid-flexible coupling the converter system research have reference significance to the research of converter system.It has directive function for the improvement and maintenance of the trunnion ring by simulating the stress distribution in different tilting angles.
