High magnetic permeability,high saturated magnetic induction intensity,low coercive force and little iron loss prove that Fe-based bulk amorphous alloys are an excellent soft magnetic material and studied widely.While sizes of high content of ferrum bulk amorphous alloys were still restricted to millimeter level.This paper is designed to prepare Fe-Ni-P-B-Si bulk amorphous alloys by using industrial level materials with a new technology called super gravity solidification.Furthermore,the effect of different super gravity and the effect of the change of P,B,Si on the preparation of bulk amorphous alloys by super gravity solidification have been studied.Fe38Ni38?P5B2Si3?2.4 alloy ingot was obtained by 10000 g super gravity solidification and it is cylindrical-like with a diameter of 10 mm.It is showed a high rate of amorphous phase in the alloy in X-Ray Diffraction?XRD?and Differential Scanning Calorimeter?DSC?tests.In addition,microhardness and corrosion resistance were measured: the average microhardness is 817.2HV and the corrosion current density in the 3.5wt% NaCl solution is 1.5561×10-6A/cm2.The effect of different super gravity on the preparation of Fe38Ni38?P5B2Si3?2.4 alloys by super gravity solidification has been studied.The experimental results show there is no amorphous phase in alloy under 1g and 1000 g super gravity,and the rate of amorphous phase increased when the super gravity became from 2000 g to 10000 g.Generally speaking,the average microhardness climbed with the increase of the super gravity,while the corrosion current density in the 3.5wt% NaCl solution decreased.The effect of the change of P,B,Si on amorphous forming in the preparation of Fe38Ni38?PxBySiz?2.4?x+y+z=10?alloys by super gravity solidification has been studied.The results shows the high content of phosphorus or boron could promotes the forming of amorphous phase.Bulk amorphous alloys were prepared when the ratio of P/B/Si are 6:2:2,5:2:3 and 3:5:2.
