Evaporative cooling technique is widely applied and owns a great promotion in the high temperature and dry areas in the northwest of China.However,due to it’s lack of the ability of dehumidification,its application is restricted in high hot-humid areas.The application of the evaporative cooling technology in the normal workshop in the moderate and high humid areas becomes a research focus as the national requirement of the energy conservation,emission reduction and the environment protection.This paper measured the main environmental parameters of garment workshop using wet curtain cooling system in Xiamen,where has the hot and humid environment,to estimate the thermal comfortableness and the economy efficiency of workshop as well as research the distribution regulation of the thermal environment parameters in the workshop.Three improving solutions are proposed to ameliorate the existing cooling system,the optimum one is elected out of the comparison of simulation results.The research results of this paper can provide theoretical basis and technical reference for the promotion of evaporative cooling technique in the hot and humid areas of China.The main results are listed as follows:The collection and statistical analysis of the energy consumption of the wet curtain cooling system and garment workshop building information and its system are conducted.The main environmental parameters is measured to obtain the information of building envelope,indoor facilities and the changed data of hot-humid field and airflow field in the workshop.The air distribution of the workshop is evaluated by the Air Distribution Performance Index(ADPI)and Standard Effective Temperature(SET).The results show that the distribution of internal environment in workshop is uneven,nearly a third of the workers are not satisfied with thermal environment in the workshop.By using energy simulation software DeST,the air conditioning system for garment workshop is simulated and designed.The energy consumption of the workshop with whole air cooling system is analyzed and then its results are compared with the the energy consumption of the the practical application of existing wet curtain system.The results show that wet curtain cooling system compared with the traditional mechanical refrigeration system can save 80%energy consumption and maintenance costs only in late 20% of the traditional mechanical refrigeration system.So as to conclude the relative advantages of energy saving and economicefficiency of the wet curtain cooling mode against the traditional mechanical refrigeration air conditioning system.The changes and distribution rules of temperature,relative humidity and air flow field in the garment workshop is studied with the CFD technology.Three kinds of optimized wet curtain designs are proposed to fix the defects of existing system based on the verified 3D model of the clothing workshop.The results show that the improved scheme of adding the ceiling fan makes the thermal environment of workshop the most homogeneous distribution,increases the average wind speed by 0.36 m/s,and dramatically improves thermal environment,so as to chose it for the optimal solution.
