Most of copper smelting in China is mainly based on fuel fire process.Copper ash produced in the smelting process has a high recovery value. Both converter dust, AI ISA furnace soot or in this study of Macao simaite furnace soot, which all contain large amounts of copper?zinc?lead and other metal prices. Today,we are facing an ever-diminishing mineral resources, if do not deal with direct disposal of waste treatment or inappropriate, will result in resource waste. Copper ash also contains arsenic and other harmful elements, will cause serious environmental pollution. So recovering of valuable metals from copper dust, not only promote the use of secondary sources, but also to protect the environment, to meet the needs of the development of China's economy.In this paper, Ausmelt furnace in Jinchang smelter of Tongling nonferrous copper ash as the research object, systematically studied the influence factors and influence degree of leaching of Zn and Cu in smelting dust. The main research contents and the results are as follows:(1) With the aid of XRF and XRD of copper smelting dust for phase analysis, the analysis results show that copper and zinc content accounted for 12.67% and 9.85% of the total amount of metal in copper ash respectively. The main forms of copper and zinc in copper ash are copper ferrite and zinc ferrite.(2) Through the experimental study of copper ash, the optimal carbon content and the best calcination temperature were obtained: roasting temperature 750?, the roasting time is 2h, the amount of carbon is 10%. Under the roasting condition, the leaching experiment was conducted in accordance with the sulfuric acid concentration 5mol/L, liquid solid ratio: 10:1, temperature 80 ?, leaching time 1h., the leaching rates of copper and zinc in copper dust were 88.96% and 92.23% respectively.(3) Orthogonal experiment and single factor experiment were used to analyze and study the influence factors of particle size, concentration of sulfuric acid, leaching time, liquid solid ratio and sulfuric acid concentration. The optimal conditions for leaching of copper and zinc were as follows: temperature is 80?, copper dust particle size of 325-400 mesh, liquid solid ratio: 10:1, leaching time is 1.5h, sulfuric acid concentration is 5mol/L.(4) The kinetic mechanism of Copper Ash Leaching in 298k-353 k range was studied. The results showed that the leaching temperature within the scope of 298k-353 k, copper and zinc in copper dust leaching is controlled by the internal diffusion, leaching kinetics equations follow unreacted shrinking core model, activation energy were 10.67 and 15.67 k J / mol respectively.
