| Elastomer materials have been very widely used in our daily lives. They are the important part of not only the rubber band, but also the large aircraft components. But with the heavily change of our environment, it also requires us to have more development to accommodate it.Abrasion resistance and oil resistance are the military fields for rubber products. Because of the similar chemical composition with natural rubber, isoprene rubber has good flexibility, excellent cold resistance and high tensile strength. But poor oil resistance, bad abrasion resistance, wet skid resistance and rolling resistance has affected its further application, so we researched to overcome these disadvantages.In this paper, through designing the molecular structure, we choose the rigid monomer limonene as the second part, and the polar ester monomer as the third part, prepared isoprene-limonene copolymer (PLIP), isoprene limonene-butyl acrylate (PLIB) and isoprene-limonene-n-butyl itaconate (PLID) terpolymer in the emulsion way. By the way of hydrogenating, we eliminated their molecule to reduce the unsaturated double bonds, in order to further improve its heat resistance and ozone aging properties. My research work is divided into two parts:1. We used the rigid monomer limonene as the comonomer, prepared the isoprene-limonene copolymer successfully. And then by hydrogenation way, we eliminated partly unsaturated double bonds to improve its integrated wear resistance, heat resistance and anti-aging properties. A new isoprene rubber with good abrasion resistance, excellent comprehensive performance was successfully prepared. Studies have shown that by controlling the feed ratio and initiator concentration, reaction time and reaction temperature, we can control the composition and structure of PLIP. Through controlling the degree of hydrogenation of 90%, isoprene rubber can increase its heat resistance Last but not least, we explore the mechanical properties、heat resistance and ozone aging properties, and dynamic mechanical properties of HPLIP, PLIP, IR, SBR, EPR, these 5 rubbers, then analyze the merits of HPLIP and PLIP two novel elastomers.2.We successfully synthesis two isoprene elastomers PLIB and PLID. And then, through hydrogenation modification process, we eliminate some unsaturated carbon-carbon double bond, and prepared the product HPLIB and HPLID. By 1H NMR, we knew the degree of hydrogenation reached 90%. The effects of different feed mass ratio of polymer copolymer composition, monomer conversion and molecular weight has been researched. We explore the properties of four kinds of vulcanized rubber and isoprene rubber, then analysis the overall performance of the four functional elastomers. |
