In recent years, C9 petroleum resin in the paint, coatings, adhesives and other industries have been widely used, but the direct synthesis of C9 petroleum resin has a poor color, it is difficult to meet the requirements of the industry, catalytic hydrogenation is currently the most important means of modified C9 petroleum resin. Hydrotalcite due to its special structure of layer structure ?Layered double hydroxides, LDHs? makes it a super molecular structure of composite materials, in recent years, the type of Hydrotalcite structure as the material of catalyst research focus.In this paper, we focus on the preparation of nickel based catalysts with the layered structure with the co precipitation method and in situ crystallization method and applied to the catalytic hydrogenation of C9 petroleum resin. In experimental evaluation and XRD, TPR, BET, SEM characterization of the way of combining study of preparation conditions and conditions of use, such as effect on the properties of C9 petroleum resin hydrogenation catalyst.based on the L9 ?34? orthogonal experiment design By using co-precipitation method of synthesis creating catalyst NiO/Al-LDO, the experimental results show that, precipitation is the most significant factors influencing the performances of catalyst preparation agent type, the catalyst preparation conditions for:ammonia as the precipitator, the molar ratio of reactant to nickel salt is 3:1, reaction temperature is 70?, reaction time is 3 h. By the NiO/Al-LDO catalyst after 500 ? roasting 4 h, the XRD characterization showed that evenly dispersed in the surface of the carrier catalyst activity center, product size is smaller. SEM showed that ammonia as precipitant preliminary preparation of NiO/Al-LDO catalyst has a crystal structure.The L16 ?45? orthogonal experiment design based on in situ crystallization of NiO/Al2O3-LDO the experimental results show that the catalyst Ni ion concentration is the most significant factors affecting catalyst preparation, catalyst preparation conditions for the best,1 mol/L nickel ion concentration, ammonia nickel than 4:1, impregnation time of 12 h, reaction temperature 110 ?, reaction time 8 h. SEM shows that the preparation of catalyst has relatively complete Honeycomb morphology, uniform grain size.The result of H2-TPR and BET which by the two kinds of method under the best conditions of catalyst shows that, according to the preparation of NiO/Al2O3-LDO catalysts, specific surface area and average pore diameter were superior to the NiO/Al-LDO. Through the evaluation experiment finally concluded that the catalyst is relatively suitable process conditions as follows:reaction temperature 300 ?, pressure 8MPa, LHSV 1.5 h-1, H2/oil volumetric ratio 300:1. Prepared by in situ crystallization of NiO/Al2O3-LDO catalyst performance is better, after the hydrogenation products of bromine value is 1.8 gBr/100g, chromaticity ?Gardner? for 1#, softening point is 122 ?.
