The semi-submersible drilling platform has been widely used in the process of oil and gas development in the deep sea, because of its special characteristics: the great ability to resist wind and waves, the preferably payload, the operation with a wide range of good stability. Mooring positioning system is one of the important equipment of semi submersible drilling platform. The simulation of mooring positioning platform environment load which has certain practical application value.Hai Yang Shi You 981 is research object in this paper. According to the platform mooring positioning system configuration and positioning control requirements, using mathematical model, environment load calculation and optimization algorithm, modeling software technology for the implementation of the platform mooring system of 3D dynamic simulation. The main work done in this article is listed as follows:(1) The reciprocal motion caused by the first disturbance force of the waves is not included in the control elements of the mooring system, discusses the motion model of the platform mooring positioning system, wind load calculation model, waves of second-order interference force calculation model and flow load disturbance force calculation model; discusses the wave form and classification, JONSWAP wave spectrum density function and the sea wave mathematical model, simulation of the single point wave high along with the time change of 2D graph and at the same time different points in the plane of the 3D surface graph.(2) The ocean drilling platform using of mooring positioning system influenced by environment factors, such as wind, wave and flow, Based on mathematical modeling in the platform mooring positioning system low frequency motion model, wind, flow and two order wave force, cable tension optimization objective function and constraint condition are established. The genetic algorithm combined with nonlinear programming algorithm which can improve the optimization efficiency was adopted to optimize the tension, avoid the tension too large or too small which in platform of a corner, resulting in the chain due to fatigue fracture and energy waste. Simulation results were carried out on both in the standby condition and in operation condition, and the simulation in matlab/simulink results show that the scheme is effective.(3) In the understanding of offshore drilling platform, mooring positioning system structure and configuration, and collect the data based on entity model, select the 3D model development tool, discuss the modeling principles, modeling methods and the problems that should be attentioned in modeling. The 3D initial model of semi submersible drilling platform was made in 3ds Max, then use the creator and model optimization technology to solve the contradiction between the real-time and authenticity in 3D simulation.(4) Through the Lnyx visual programming and Vega API programming drive the entity model, implement the 3D dynamic simulation of mooring system for semi-submersible drilling unit under different sea state conditions.
