Dye wastewater is characterized by high chromacity, complex components and difficulty of degradation,which can't be effectively treated by traditional methods,therefore the problem of dye wastewater pollution is more and more serious.Electrocoagulation?EC? technology includes electrolytic flocculation, electricity floating and electrolytic oxidation reduction effect, which is a kind of environmental friendly and high efficient wastewater treatment technology, so as to be widely used in the field of water treatment.In this paper, MO, MR, EBT?anionic? and MG, MB, RhB?cationic? these six kinds of different structure of dyes were selected as treatment object and treated with EC method, exploratory research works were carried out from the following three aspects: Firstly, the influences of Charge loading, initial pH and electrode materials on the removal efficiency of color and COD were researched, the effects of different dye wastewater treatment in the same condition were compared and analyzed from the longitudinal. Then, the H2O2 and aeration were added to EC system, the effects of the adding ways and amount of H2O2, aeration time and Charge loading were studied.Meanwhile, the electro-fenton effect was analyzed according to the change of H2O2 content in the processing system. Finally, the produced flocs and the outlet wastewater were measured by Infrared and Ultraviolet Spectroscopy respectively, thus, the removal mechanism of dye wastewater was discussed preliminary.Above the analysis of experiment and theoretical, the results are as follows:?1? The removal efficiency of color and COD increased with Charge loading. For anionic dye wastewater, the treatment effect of MR and EBT is superior to that of MO,the optimal condition of MO and MR is weak acid, while for EBT is neutral condition.?2? For anionic dye wastewater, the treatment effect of MG is better than that of MB and RhB, the weak acid and alkali conditions are beneficial to the treatment of MG and RhB, and the removal of MB is gradually increasing with the increase of alkaline. The treatment effect of iron electrodes is superior to that of aluminium electrodes.?3? In the process of EC-EF, the treatment efficiency with aeration is better than that of the addition of H2O2, which is also obviously better than the effect of EC usedalone.?4? In the treatment process of dye wastewater with EC and EF, the main removal mechanism of color and COD are the destruction of base group of dye molecules, the produced flocs adsorbed dye molecules and small organic molecules degraded by strong oxidant. It promotes the industrialization of the dye wastewater treatment technology and provides the theoretical guidance.
