ANano-powder of Er,Yb:(LaGd)2O3 was prepared via coprecipitation with ammonium bicarbonate as a precipitant agent. The results show that the optimum conditions for ceramic powders: calcination temperature was 850℃,calcination time of 2 h;the value of pH is 7.The Er,Yb:(LaGd)2O3ceramic was synthesized by cold isostatic-vacuum sintering method.The results show that the optimum conditions for ceramic: sintering temperature is 1750℃;sintering time is 20h; anneal temperature is 1400℃,anneal temperature is 20 h.The results show that the transmittance rate is about 62.15%The properties of the powders have been characterized. The spectra obtained is consistent with standard card(PDF12-0797),suggest that cubic phase have been get successfully.According to the analysis by scanning electron microscopy, the average particle size of the powder prepared is 70 nm. The upconversion fluorescence spectrum of the sample was examined. The results show that two intense emission bands are located at 548 and 662 nm, which are corresponding to the 4S3/2/2H11/2→4I15/2 and 4F9/2/→4I15/2 level transition of Er3+,respectively. The influence of the doping concentration of Er3+,Yb3+ on the luminescence property of the sample was analyzed.In addition,the light transition mechanism was also discussed.To expiore the best doping mole fraction, determine the Er3+ doped mole fraction of 4%,Yb3+doped mole fraction of 5%.
